The German firm has revealed the SLS AMG Black Series - a faster and lighter version of the Mercedes supercar.
Black Series cars are renowned for being extra hardcore versions of "standard" AMG models and the new SLS Black doesn't disappoint.
Under the bonnet lies the same 6.3-litre V8 but it has been reworked to now produce 622bhp - up 59bhp. The rev limit has also been maxed out - now it's 8,000rpm.
The standard car's kerbweight has been cut too. Engineers have shed 70kg thanks to changing various aluminium parts to carbon-fibre ones, while the interior now gets bucket seats.
The brakes have been swapped for ceramic ones, as well, and there's a tweaked seven-speed semi-automatic gearbox.
All of this means the SLS Black Series can hurtle to 60mph in 3.4 seconds - but the top speed is 1mph less due to all of the new aerodynamic parts fitted which have caused added drag. 196mph, however, is not to be sniffed at.
Those aero parts help the Black stand out from its siblings. There's an aggressive body kit, diffusers at the front and at the rear along with new exhausts and an optional rear wing.
The car has a wider track and the suspension has been worked on to make the car as agile as ever.
The SLS AMG Black Series arrives in June, but there's no word on pricing. Rumours are it'll cost around £300,000.
