Three time Formula 1 Constructors' World Champions, Red Bull Racing, have announced a new technical partner with their new team name for the 2013 championship - Infiniti Red Bull Racing.

The new partnership will go beyond the current commercial venture, which started in March 2011; Infiniti will become the major technical partner for Red Bull Racing until 2016, with Renault remaining as the engine supplier for the team.
It is hoped that this headline team name will increase the worldwide exposure of Infiniti, it's products and technology. Terry Steeden, Communications Manager for Infiniti UK, said "We had always hoped that the relationship would go from strength to strength since 2011 and the past two seasons have gone very well for both Red Bull and Infiniti."

The four-brand alliance, which includes Nissan, Renault, Infiniti and Red Bull, has significant presence in the world of Motorsport including F1, GT and Endurance races, with all partners performing well and benefiting from the venture.

Steeden added: "Red Bull will benefit from our battery and energy technologies during the coming seasons, which Infiniti and Nissan are leading brands. We can benefit from the challenge of F1, providing the ultimate challenge for our technology."

Steeden admitted that headline sponsorship can be of limited benefit unless you're winning but added: "Red Bull have been very successful over the past three seasons, and we are pleased to part of and support a winning team."
