Video: Saudi man spotted bonnet surfing

Motorists in the Middle East have gained quite a reputation for fooling around in cars. A quick Youtube search will regale you with all you need to know about their penchant for drifting, fooling around in exotic cars, and even their latest craze, 'sidewalk surfing', in which a car drives along on just two wheels, while crazy passengers 'surf' on to the exterior.

It's perhaps unsurprising then that this latest video emerges from Saudi Arabia. Shot from a passing car, a man dressed in traditional Saudi attire is seen relaxing on the bonnet of a car as it negotiates traffic at around 50mph.
Not content with simply kicking back and enjoying the breeze, the certified nutter texts friends, kicks his feet in the air, and eventually kneels on the bonnet and props himself up on the roof with his elbows.

Quite why he decided to get around town in such a manner remains a mystery, but it makes for quite a spectacle nonetheless.
