It's the question all hot hatch fans want answering: Which of the new crop is the fastest? Luckily for you, in this exclusive AOL Cars video, we can reveal the answer.

Ahead of our hot hatch mega test, hitting the site next week, we thought we'd give you a little taster of what you can expect.
At Rockingham Motor Speedway, in Corby, the AOL Cars team pitched five of the latest hot hatches head to head in an impromptu drag race.

The far-from-scientific test saw different drivers of varying abilities take their seats in the coolest hot hatches around.

Lining up on the start line were the new Ford Fiesta ST, Peugeot 208 GTi, Mini John Cooper Works GP, Nissan Juke Nismo and Citroen DS3 Racing.

Before you ask, we didn't have the new Renault Clio 200 there as we tested these cars before the French firm's press cars arrived in the country. Believe us we tried to get one.

All have similar levels of grunt under their bonnets, all had equally inept drivers at their helm, but our 0-60mph dash still gives you a very good idea of which will be quicker out of the blocks at the Traffic Lights Grand Prix.

You'll have to wait until next week to hear the full AOL Cars verdict on the latest hot hatch brigade, but for now just enjoy our high octane video.
