There's just over a month left until the forthcoming RM Auctions sale, with 22 of the rarest and most beautiful Ferraris expected to sell for more than €15 million.
Headlining the sale at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco on 11-12 May will be one of only two 1957 Ferrari 625 TRC Spiders ever built. A rich racing history is part of this beautiful car's appeal, having achieved second place at the very first Laguna Seca race in 1957 and other podium finishes at Pebble Beach, Pomona, Hawaii and Santa Barbara.
Following an extensive restoration, the TRC Spider has been a regular at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance and won the Chopard Award for Presentation and Performance. It is offered with the original 2.5-litre engine, matching chassis number 0680 MDTR and is one of the most sought-after Prancing Horse models to come from Maranello.
A 1966 Ferrari 206 S Dino Spyder, one of only 18 examples built and a fully prepared for Concours entries will also go under the hammer, expected to make up to €2.8 million. Finished in the original Maranello Concessionaires blue and red livery, the Dino is the 'epitome of a perfect 1960s sports racing car', according to RM specialist Alex Classick.
Expected to fetch a staggering €4.1 million, a 1953 Ferrari 375 MM Spider with 11 wins and two back-to-back Argentine Sports Car Championships in 1954 and 1955 respectively, is listed as a turn-key example passing through a string of prominent collectors who have enjoyed its racing pedigree.
The rest of the best include a 1952 225 Sport Spyder Turboscocca, 2006 Ferrari FXX Evoluzione, 1987 F40 Prototype GT (one of only seven in existence) and a 1955 Ferrari 250 GT Europa.
