Go wild in a Land Rover

OK, most Land Rovers spend most of their time on tarmac, but they can still do amazing things in the rough stuff.

If you want to put that assertion to the test, you could do worse than go to the Eastnor Land Rover Show on 25/26 August at Eastnor Castle, about 20 miles from Gloucester.
Land Rover Experience will be offering self drive supervised convoys as well as passenger rides on one of the toughest courses. Land Rover Experience experts will show visitors how to navigate obstacles as well as pointing out landmarks relevant to the brand's illustrious past.

The off road track at Eastnor encompasses some of the most notable locations in Land Rover history, with areas that have been used in the development of all Land Rover's models; such as the Spen King Hill, Camel Bridge and American Dips.

We have been on Land Rover Experience courses, and they are a real eye-opener. You go along tracks you would hesitate to try on foot. At first you really cannot believe anything with four wheels is going to make it but, as long as you approach at the right speed in the right gear, a Land Rover on mud-and-snow tyres will get over almost anything.

Each session lasts two hours and costs just £45. Eastnor Land Rover Show is open from 9am until 4.30pm on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th August 2012. Adult ticket prices start from £10 when purchased in advance with children under 16 allowed in free with paying adults. For more information visit www.eastnorlandrovershow.com
