Dubbed the Egoista, this angular machine is powered by the Italian marque's famous 5.2-litre V10 engine that produces just shy of 600bhp.
When directly translated, the slightly strange name means "selfish" but it isn't a reflection of the car's personality but rather celebrates the fact this fantastical motor only has one seat inside the Apache helicopter-inspired cockpit.
The car has been penned by VW group design chief Walter de Silva, who is also responsible for the Audi R8 amongst others.
He said upon revealing his creation: "This is a car made for one person only, to allow them to have fun and express their personality to the maximum."
Its design is clearly inspired by jet fighters and futuristic battle helicopters with de Silva explaining: "The cockpit made completely of carbon fibre and aluminium, represents a sort of survival cell, allowing the driver to isolate and protect themselves from external elements."
Further details surrounding performance, top speed and price remain under wraps but we do know the exterior features automatic flaps that open at speed to provide extra stability, while a series of air intakes on the back of the engine hood provide a much needed cold airflow to the mighty V10 engine.
The light clusters have also been heavily inspired by aeronautics as they feature 3D LED lights that are visible from multiple angles, as seen on aircraft.
Further flashing LED lights on the tail, roof and flanks make the "four-wheeled UFO" visible in all conditions.
